Year in Review: 2013

Part 1: Best Photos of 2013

I picked this picture/photo because of the subject matter. It looks like a sunset above the clouds inside of an amber stone. A picture taken by the Earth, forever to be seen. Also because the shadow shows that the contents really are inside of the amber and the way the stone shines in the top corner.

I chose this picture because of the joy that these people seem to be bringing to this young kid. These two heroes are some favorites from my own past, Green Lantern and Robin. You can also clearly tell what the subject of the matter is and that it's the little boy getting maybe his dream coming true.
Now this one, this one is just amazing. The way the perspective through the liquid in the glass and how it refracts and reflects the light (like that of a camera) to make the picture seem upside down. The subject is amazing and the way it looks. And the lighting complements the picture amazingly and just brings it all together.

Part 2: Your Favorites

Favorite Song: A Light That Never Comes

One of the best songs I've heard in a long. I enjoy the mixing of Linkin Park's Alternative style with the dubstep of Steve Aoki to make an incredible song.

Favorite Movie: Day of The Doctor

Now, this is the most awe inspiring moment in Doctor Who, and one of the best specials in the series. It came on November 28, and I was amazed when I saw it. It was brilliantly amazing and no doubt my favorite entertainment item that I saw this year.

Most Important New Story: Mandela Death

Nelson Mandela was an important historical figure who meant a lot to many people around the globe. His passing would have devastated them, but leave open a new position of hope and peace.

Most Important Person: Malala Yousafzai

This lady, through all odds, was able to escape the evils of her previous life and sent out a message and feeling of hope and power through all people of the globe.

Best Entertainment/Sports Story: Time of The Doctor

Matt Smith's last day as The Doctor before his next regeneration. One of the best Doctor Who episodes, with Matt Smith. You have to watch it to find out, as the wife of the Doctor once said, "No Spoilers."
