Quick Write: Rain

The way that rain effects me is (depending on if it's cold or warm) by filling me up with energy for some reason. I just tend to feel happier and more vitalized in the rain.

20 Squares

Quick Write

The way I cope with stress is by listening to music, playing video games (violent ones at that), hanging out with friends, or sleeping. Then again, I don't have much stress so I just put my daily routine, kind of.

Purpose to Photography

My reaction to the PowerPoint was that the pictures look amazing, and I wonder how they took these pictures.
This is my favorite picture because it shows that animals also care about family and can think like humans in that manner.

The elements of photography that I can see here are simplicity and contrast/emphasis. The subject is clear and the background doesn't distract from the main focus either.

Nick Brandt

1.) He photographs on medium format black and white film without zoom.
2.) His purpose was to create a trilogy to memorialize the vanishing natural grandeur of Africa.
3.) He hope to show their spirit and liveliness by getting close to the animals.

Quick Write

5 Favorite Smells

My five favorite smells would be, strawberries, mango, cherry blossom, pork chop (grilled with cream of onion soup, and river mist. I'm not sure if any of these would make successful candles, but I would enjoy them.

Free Write

So, the government wasn't stupid and decided to end their disbandment, meaning that it's too late to take it over now, sadly. Well, we can still plan for the future and see if we can make this country a better place. Let's start with my Omega Baconwich, nevermind, that would just fatten us up. So, plan for reformation and a better future as soon as my friend becomes president (if they still plans it), and the future will be a brighter place.

Academics Shoot

Lines

I'm not sure how well I followed this rule, but the lines are supposed to lead to the main air duct, on top of the canvas. It might not be clear to others what the subject is, and see it as another line. i might have been able to find a different subject to make it more obvious and make the picture better.

Simplicity

I believe that I did a good job in this picture because Eddie (the subject) is easily seen against a background that doesn't distract from him.

Rule of Thirds

I think I did a good job at this picture with the subject being Tyra and Ashley (bottom left corner) and i think i could have made the subject more clear, but it's one of two choices so I guess I did good.

Balance

What I was going for, was symmetric picture with few impurities, but I got a triangle of basketball players added, making it so much better. The subject is clear being that there is only one triangle there.

Framing

You can't really see the full frame, and is why the picture is off and not that great in my opinion but the subject (the students) are clear. I would prefer to see the full frame or none of it at all which I think would make the picture much better.

Avoiding Mergers

This one is great example of avoiding mergers, by the fact that nobody was cut out of the picture, and there are no extra body parts sticking out of anybody. Everybody in the photo is/are the subject(s) and are evident.

Ideal Vehicle

My dream vehicle/amazing partner, would be the TARDIS. TARDIS stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space, and it's a space ship, time machine, teleport device,  and the ultimate sports car in existence.

Academic Shoot Review

The Story

This picture shows a story by having the lighting and the feel that it's emotional for everyone there, or at least important. The story I get from this one is that everybody is surrounding for a great achievement and praying that it works out because they worked hard and deserve for it to go right.

Action and Emotion

I chose this one for Action and Emotion because it shows the relationship between teacher and student and how it can be a happy one.

Filling The Frame

This photo fills the frame with two engineers that are welding together some piece of metal and it's making a cool color with the smoke as they look through face mask.

Academics

  1. The reason I picked this picture was because of the implications of math and the simple background as well as Quantum Mechanics is one of my favorite fields to think about.
  2. The rules of photography present are, leading lines, Viewpoint, Background, and Framing.

Reflection

  1. I think I take pictures i looked at today in the gym, in the STEM building and the robotics room.
  2. I would like to visit Ms.Mayfield's class if she has Physics this period, and Mr.Gonzales' classroom because he leads the robotics team.
  3. As a photographer, to get amazing photos, I would try to get pictures of everybody acting normally so that I don't interrupt anybody and get the shots i need and want.

What I follow

Seeing as how I can't log onto Facebook from school wifi, I'll just go with what I follow from youtube.

2nd Six Weeks Wish

My wish for the second six weeks, is to make a higher grade in all of my classes, if at all possible. Mainly English, because that's my worst class and should be worked upon.

National Geographic Warm-Up

This is my favorite photo from the site because it obviously has a deep meaning to the photographer. It's also a great nature shot that shows so much of the beauty only found in places untouched by mankind. Anyways, the reason that it has deep meaning to the photographer is because this is where they buried their dead dog, Spock. They gave him this as a tomb so that he would have the biggest gravestone of all the dogs out there.

If I could take a photo, it would be of the creek that my grandpa used to take me to when I was younger because it shows the beauty of simple nature.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

In this article it is shown that people used photo manipulation and attempted to add it to the media. This is a terminal defense in most U.S. newspaper companies. This can also destroy your credibility and end alliances with other companies.

To me this kind of photo manipulation is unethical because it's manipulating the truth and shouldn't be done. The truth is the truth and people can't handle it, then that's their problem.

Saddam Hussein and George W Bush didn't really debate, but appeared in this photo cover.
I think this one was the most unethical because it scrambles the truth and makes the newspaper look less credible and they should be ashamed of what they did.

I think that this photo is the least unethical because all that they're really doing is changing the brightness of the photo and doesn't change the truth or anything.

Daily Write

The theme presented in this picture was contrast and probably repetition with the young girl standing up in a crowd of bowing people to talk a selfy.
