The Break

My break was, I would say, distracting. For the first few days I went Dallas with the band, then the rest of the week I was pretty much cleaning, roleplaying, and card fighting. Then on Sunday I had to work a fundraising shift for my band and that left me pretty exhausted.

Coldest You've Ever Been

I don't know, but I think the coldest I've ever been was when I lived in North Carolina and it was a snow day. We went outside and played in the deep snow, and it was fun till I went inside and the snow in my clothes melted, then silly me, decided going back outside would help.

Burning Pet Shop

Since we know live in the age of technology, then I would run over to the computer and input the code to release all the cages, allowing the animals to all run free at once. This shows no favoritism, and allows all the animals to survive the impending fire.

5-year Plan/10-year plan

I plan to get a PhD in Physics, and minor in Music (Trombone Musicianship) and Chemistry. I might get my Bachelor of the Arts degree, but I'm not sure. During that time I'd like to study abroad and get an internship as well as a full ride through college. That'll take about 10 years.

Quick Write: Valentine's Day

You know, while this is a happy day for all the couples around, it's a day of depression for the people who are single (and I thought this even when I had a girlfriend). This day seems to be a deadline for guys to do something special for his "gal" when he could something like that any other day of the year. It makes no sense to have a day committed all to love, unless you are worshipping Venus (Aphrodite), and pretty much darkens many people's moods all day. This is a virtually useless day which can be replaced with a simple Anniversary of some sort that the couple has in common. You could pick any other day of the year to show your love to your 'mate' and it should be something special. Not a day that makes others feel bad, or shared with other couples unless it's just a happy coincidence. If I were still in a relationship, I wouldn't even celebrate on Feburary 14, I would've celebrated on the day of our anniversary (hopefully not the 14), or scheduled a different day. So, I scorn the existence of Valentine's Day and wish for it's imminent demise at the end of the century when people finally realize the uselessness of this holiday.

Year in Review: 2013

Part 1: Best Photos of 2013

I picked this picture/photo because of the subject matter. It looks like a sunset above the clouds inside of an amber stone. A picture taken by the Earth, forever to be seen. Also because the shadow shows that the contents really are inside of the amber and the way the stone shines in the top corner.

I chose this picture because of the joy that these people seem to be bringing to this young kid. These two heroes are some favorites from my own past, Green Lantern and Robin. You can also clearly tell what the subject of the matter is and that it's the little boy getting maybe his dream coming true.
Now this one, this one is just amazing. The way the perspective through the liquid in the glass and how it refracts and reflects the light (like that of a camera) to make the picture seem upside down. The subject is amazing and the way it looks. And the lighting complements the picture amazingly and just brings it all together.

Part 2: Your Favorites

Favorite Song: A Light That Never Comes

One of the best songs I've heard in a long. I enjoy the mixing of Linkin Park's Alternative style with the dubstep of Steve Aoki to make an incredible song.

Favorite Movie: Day of The Doctor

Now, this is the most awe inspiring moment in Doctor Who, and one of the best specials in the series. It came on November 28, and I was amazed when I saw it. It was brilliantly amazing and no doubt my favorite entertainment item that I saw this year.

Most Important New Story: Mandela Death

Nelson Mandela was an important historical figure who meant a lot to many people around the globe. His passing would have devastated them, but leave open a new position of hope and peace.

Most Important Person: Malala Yousafzai

This lady, through all odds, was able to escape the evils of her previous life and sent out a message and feeling of hope and power through all people of the globe.

Best Entertainment/Sports Story: Time of The Doctor

Matt Smith's last day as The Doctor before his next regeneration. One of the best Doctor Who episodes, with Matt Smith. You have to watch it to find out, as the wife of the Doctor once said, "No Spoilers."
